B1 and B2 visas remain one of the main barometers for understanding how international tourism to the United States is moving, especially at a time marked by post‑pandemic recovery, recent changes in migration policies, and the country’s preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That is why, using official figures from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of State (DOS), and the Department of Commerce (DOC), I carry out an analysis that aims to show how temporary traveler admissions have changed over the last decade and which nationalities have gained greater prominence. The data reveal not only the strong impact that the pandemic had on tourism and international travel, but also a significant change in the profile of those who travel to the U.S., where Latin America is beginning to carry increasing weight within international flows.
